The pub has stood proudly on the side of the river Leen since it was called the Abbey Tavern in the 1860s, before Frank Johnson bought the building in 1904 and renamed it the Johnson Arms. We’re the perfect place to sit back, relax with your favourite drink in hand. Enjoy 20p off each Cask-conditioned ale straight from the brewery, with our CAMRA discount.
Looking to host an event or private party? We've got FREE venue hire at weekends. Looking ahead to New Years Eve, you can hire the whole pub for your very own exlusive New Years Eve party! We are absolutely blown away by the support for todays England game! With over 200 people booked, we honestly can’t thank you enough. 🍻 Our outdoor area is now fully booked, but everyone is still welcome – we’ll have walk-in space available inside. And don’t worry… we’ll be staying open until the game has finished, so nobody will be rushed out before the final whistle. Thank you all for supporting us. It’s home to plenty of bees 🐝 and butterflies 🦋 – we even spotted six butterflies together the other day! ☺️ We work really hard to keep it looking beautiful for everyone to enjoy, so we’d really appreciate your help by: 🌼 Using the ashtrays provided 🗑️ Putting rubbish in the bins around the garden 💚 Helping us keep this little haven looking its best Thank you for helping us look after our lovely garden.
